OFF the WALLS — MUSIC PREVIEW!

On Saturday, August 24th, SPARKBOOM’s  block party  in Huntington is everything you want in a “How I spent my summer vacation…” book report.  SB’s Off the Walls: Live Street Art & Music Event (in the lower lot behind the Huntington Arts Council’s building, from 2-6pm) will be the finest pot-stirrer since your grandma’s beef stew!   A visual stimulation is unavoidable, as some of the world’s greatest graffiti artists will be creating masterpieces live, in front of your eyes. But what about your eardrums? Don’t they deserve some lovin’? Don’t worry- we’ve got that covered! Here’s a teaser to some of the coolest bands that Long Island has to offer and you’ll be seeing them play for FREE at Off the Walls!

From working in the music industry since age 14, Tawney has helped guide the careers of several musical artists, as well as his own band (with a 2008 release on WMG). During his musician days, he was also a blogger for Russell Simmons’ GlobalGrind.com. He currently operates a small music management firm and was most recently Director of New Media for Book Revue in Huntington, NY, where he established Book Revue TV (via YouTube). He filmed and produced exclusive video content for notable authors, including: Jessica Alba, Dennis Rodman, Al Roker, and more.
